Brad Witter

Brad Witter is a New York City-based entertainment staff writer at Bustle, primarily covering TV and celebrity news.

After earning his bachelor's degree in media, culture, and communication from New York University, Brad worked for more than a decade as a red carpet reporter and full-time staff writer/editor for Us Weekly magazine. He interviewed A-listers and covered such high-profile events as New York Fashion Week, the Tribeca Film Festival, and the MTV Video Music Awards — including in 2009 when Kanye West promised to let Taylor Swift finish, but... Brad has been quoted on MTV News, ABC's 20/20, and his byline has appeared in such publications as BravoTV.com’s The Daily Dish, Biography.com, Mental Floss, Details magazine, and Brit + Co.

A native of a small town near Buffalo, NY, Brad got his first taste of celebrity culture when he met Jessica Simpson as a starstruck teen in 2001 (and has since had the opportunity to interview her multiple times). Although he will jump at the chance to write about Beyoncé, any of the Real Housewives, or '90s/early 2000s nostalgia, Brad has a particular interest in the intersection of pop culture and social issues. He is also a champion for diverse and inclusive representation in mainstream media and aims to amplify marginalized and minority voices.

Brad currently splits his time between NYC and Buffalo with his beloved German Shepherd, Zeus. You can follow him on Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
