Marina Watts

Marina Watts is the Entertainment News & Strategy Editor at Bustle. She joined the team in June 2022, and works closely with the editors of the TV, movies and books, and celebrity and music subsections. Marina looks for new ways into the pop culture conversations online by voraciously reading the news to help assign, write, and edit informative articles. She also monitors Bustle’s Entertainment traffic and develops content plans for events such as award shows and album drops.

She was previously an SEO Editor at The Sun, executing the news site’s SEO strategy and constantly monitoring trends for breaking news stories. Her reporting experience includes time as a culture writer at Newsweek covering all things from politics and internet culture to celebrities and entertainment news. She also spent time at AMI (now known as a360media) as a digital reporter at OK! Magazine, and as a writer/editor for the Special Interest Publications. These 96-page print magazines’ topics ranged from health and recipes and celebrity biographies to road trip guides and true crime, and published every week. In 2014, she served as an entertainment intern at The Daily Beast. Marina graduated from Cornell University in 2016 with a degree in Communication and Media Studies and previously spent time abroad studying Shakespeare at Cambridge University under their International Summer program.

In her free time, Marina can be found rewatching The Sopranos, reading in Central Park, or in the bleachers at Yankee Stadium.
